PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL: The Pastoral Council is the primary vehicle of consultation available to the pastor. Its purpose is to collaborate with the pastor in the pastoral ministry. Presided over by the pastor or his delegate, it is composed of six appointed members and six elected members, along with the Pastoral Assistant, the Religious Education Coordinators, the Youth Minister and the Administrative Assistant. There are four quarterly meetings and occasional work sessions. Prayer precedes each quarterly meeting, since the first thing that the group does is beseech God's grace that they may discern the will of the Holy Spirit. In its quest to foster growth in community, the Pastoral Council works to define the goals and objectives of the parish, formulates plans to meet those goals, and periodically evaluates progress. Elections and appointments are held annually.

PARISH FINANCE COUNCIL: The purpose of the Parish Finance Council is to advise the pastor in the financial administration of the parish. The Parish Finance Council is composed of at least three and no more than five lay members. The pastor appoints them for a one-year term, renewable. Meetings are held quarterly and when otherwise needed.

CATECHISTS: These women and men form the largest group of volunteers in the parish organization. Their purpose is to assist parents in the religious formation and education of their children. “WRAPPED IN LOVE” MINISTRY: Welcomes all parishioners to participate (directly or through their financial support). They meet on the 2nd Monday of the month from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm in the library. They gather to pray and knit or crochet “prayer shawls”. They offer prayer for the intended recipients of their efforts, who may be facing troubled times- of illness, depression, grief, loneliness, hardship, or, in times of celebration- marriage, birth, baptism, ordination, achievement, etc. The message of the “prayer shawl” is that the recipient is being remembered and held in prayer by their parish community who wants them to know they are wrapped in God’s love and that of the community. Members need not attend the monthly gathering to participate.
