Paul Levesque was born and raised in Fall River, Massachusetts. He attended Catholic elementary and high schools and graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, with a Master's degree in engineering. Paul and his wife Carol have two sons. The Levesques have been active in St. Bernard parish since moving to Assonet in 1978. Paul has been a leader in St. Bernard's Music Ministry since 1980. In addition to parish involvement, Paul has been an active member of the Cursillo Movement for many years. He has served as Lay Director for the Diocesan Cursillo Secretariat, and also as the Regional Coordinator for the New England/New York region.

Paul was appointed Pastoral Assistant at St. Bernard's in 2001. Responsibilities include coordination of Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers, conducting wedding rehearsals and participation at wakes and funerals. He is an ex officio member of the Parish Pastoral Council and the Coordinator of the parish Core Community of the RENEW Program. He is also a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
