Ka Shen - A Sekhem system under development

I'm currently working on a new Sekhem system called Ka Shen and I'm also looking for people who might be interested in participating in the development process by learning it for free as it is being developed.
The Birth of Ka Shen
I learnt "Newlife Seichim" in 1992 and then 2 years later found this energy no longer seemed to agree with me. My vibration was changing and I found that the form of Seichim I had been given now felt too harsh for me to comfortably work with. I stopped using it but still liked the symbols from that system. Soon after I became a Reiki Master in 1997, I began looking for ways that I could comfortably use the Seichim symbols. I found I was able to get them to work with energies other than the Seichim I had been given, and spent a few years experimenting with different symbols and energy combinations.
From what I have since experienced and read about Seichim/Sekhem/SKHM, I came to the conclusion that this energy is something that wants to express itself in different forms for different people, and that this is why so many different strands of it have come into being.
In 2005, I did an All-Love/SKHM workshop with Patrick Zeigler. I was surprised to find that the energy I connected with there felt very different from what I had previously experienced as Seichim. It felt to me completely new and of a much finer vibration. Fortunately this energy did feel comfortable flowing through me and it felt really good.
Around that time I was also reading Diane Shewmaker's book "ALL LOVE - A Guidebook for Healing with Sekhem-Seichim-Reiki and SKHM". In it she describes how (as a result of attending a Seichim workshop with Patrick) she spontaneously began channelling a form of energy which was related to, yet distinct from, Reiki and Seichim. This energy called itself "Sekhem".
I knew that "Seichim" and "Sekhem" were basically just different spellings and pronunciations of the same word but after reading this story I was fascinated by the word Sekhem. I liked just looking at it, either on the cover of Diane's book or in the text within it. I noticed that the word Sekhem now felt quite different to me from the word Seichim. The vibration of the word itself spoke to me and I felt that "Sekhem is the one for me! I want to access, channel and work with that something called Sekhem!" I intuitively felt that this might somehow be the answer to my dilemma of wanting to work with the Seichim symbols but not being able to comfortably work with the form of Seichim energy I received along with those symbols.
Now I had the experience of the SKHM energy I connected with in Patrick's workshop plus the inspiration I got from reading Diane's story of spontaneously channelling the "Sekhem" energy. Putting these two things together, I was inspired to ask the Universe to manifest for me a form of the Seichim/Sekhem/SKHM energy that will suit me, that will be of name and type "Sekhem" and that I can use to build my own system containing the Seichim symbols that I like. And It did!
This happened not in one great flash but in many small and evolving steps over time. I was intuitively guided to experiment with many different symbol combinations and attunement formulas, with the intention of accessing and channelling a form of "Sekhem". This went very successfully. To help things along, I received a Seichim Master attunement from a friend and also later had an All-Love/SKHM "spontaneous initiation" which I felt was directly related to this project. I began working on the Sekhem system around the beginning of 2006 and spent about 2 years developing the attunement method and the basic feel and form of the energy.
I was intuitively led to call my new system "Ka Shen", which is an abbreviation of its Egyptian hieroglyphic name meaning "Energy for healing the eternal heart and soul". See below.
The core part of the system has been designed and has 7 levels. At the time of writing this (June 2008), I have created and worked with the first 3 levels. I think it will probably take another 12 months to create and assimilate the remaining 4 levels and I want to wait until this is complete before I begin teaching the system professionally. However, Ka Shen is already working fantastically well with the first 3 levels and I would like to begin sharing it now with people who are drawn to it. Getting feedback from others who learn and use it will help me in the development process.
About the Ka Shen system
An important aspect of Ka Shen is working with a balance of Father Spirit and Mother Earth, and a balance of Masculine and Feminine energies. The attunement process establishes a balanced connection with Spirit and the Earth. The Ka Shen energy itself works with a balance of Spirit energy and Earth energy (which could also be described as Universal energy and Earth energy), and a balance of Masculine and Feminine energy.
Ka Shen is based on Phoenix Summerfield's system of Seichim and most of the symbols used in Ka Shen are from her system. (The Seichim system I originally learnt - Newlife Seichim - was a reformulated version of that system.) Phoenix's Seichim system and the symbols contained in it are described in Diane Shewmaker's book "ALL LOVE - A Guidebook for Healing with Sekhem-Seichim-Reiki and SKHM".
The core part of Ka Shen looks similar to Diane's Sekhem-Seichim-Reiki system (also described in the same book) but contains more symbols and all of the symbols use the Ka Shen Sekhem vibration. Level 1 is functionally equivalent to Reiki II. Each level is complete in itself and you need only do as many levels as feels appropriate for you. There are 2 attunements per level. Each level changes, raises and develops the vibration of the energy and introduces more symbols. Although the core part of the system contains 7 levels, there will also be a further 5 levels available.
As well as being a healing modality, Ka Shen is a spiritual development program for personal transformation. Each level brings about a shift in a person's consciousness and vibration. As they use the energy and work their way up through the levels over time, a person will go through a healing process of ongoing psychological and energetic transformation towards greater wholeness. This process develops the heart chakra and psychic perception.
Ka Shen works with the goddess energies of Quan Yin, Sekhmet and Isis. Sekhmet, the lion-headed Egyptian goddess of destruction, regeneration and healing, is the main guide and is a big part of Ka Shen. Her role is to lead you to face your unresolved issues and darkest corners. If you're willing to do this, she will support you, providing you with a safe journey for healing in these areas.
A fourth guide associated with Ka Shen is Gaia - the living, sentient consciousness and soul of the planet earth itself. Gaia assists in Ka Shen treatments.

Prerequisites for Participation
I can send treatments and attunements by absent healing, so it doesn't matter whereabouts in the world you are.
In order to begin learning Ka Shen, you would need to have already completed Reiki II or a level of Seichim/Sekhem that uses symbols and absent healing techniques.
You would also need to really feel drawn to Ka Shen and feel that it is right for you to learn because it will only suit some people. If it doesn't really suit you and you were to go ahead and try it only out of curiosity or because it is being offered for free, it is likely that it will start bringing up your issues in an uncomfortable and confronting way.

Ieb Sekhem
Because Ka Shen will only suit some people, I am also developing a milder and simpler form of Ka Shen called Ieb Sekhem. This system has 3 levels, involves 1 attunement per level, and has been designed to suit the majority of people. It can also be extended up to 7 levels. I am looking for people who might be interested in participating in the development of Ieb Sekhem by learning it for free as it is being developed.
Ieb Sekhem is designed for people who have already completed Reiki II. However, if you strongly feel drawn to Ieb Sekhem and would like to learn it but have not done Reiki, there is still a way...
I am currently offering a free mini-course called Introduction to Reiki which includes attunement to the Reiki energy. Completing this course would enable you to begin learning Ieb Sekhem.
