posted Fri June 6th @ 12:00 PM

Emilio “Millito” Navarro, the 1st Puerto Rican to play in the U.S. Negro Leagues and the oldest living U.S. professional ballplayer, was drafted by the NY Yankees as an honor to his sports achievements. Navarro and several other ex-Negro League players were picked in the Major League Baseball’s (MLB) draft in a in a pre-draft ceremony, a tribute formulated by Hall-of-Famer Dave Winfield and embraced by Major League Baseball. ¡Felicidades Millito! ¡Eres un orgullo para Puerto Rico!
