Puerto Rican Festival weekend begins FridayRochester Democrat and Chronicle NewspaperJuly 31, 2008The Puerto Rican Festival starts at noon Friday (August 1st) and goes through Sunday (August 3rd) at Frontier Field. Headliners will be Salsa Legends Eddie Santiago, Tito Nieves, Johnny Rivera and, directly from Puerto Rico, Trio Los Andinos. But it doesn't stop there. More than 10 local groups, including the Borínquen Dance Theater and Salsa Ruidos will be there. There also will be arts and crafts, cultural displays, children's activities and food. The Puerto Rican Parade starts at noon Saturday at the Liberty Pole. The cost is $9 ($5 for seniors and children), $20 for a three-day pass.
