On behalf of our Clan Ramsay Association of Nova Scotia I extend our thoughts, prayers and support to Marlene, Jeremy, Megan, Burt, Alice, David, Ian MacHattie and their families following the passing of Allen MacHattie on December 15th, 2011. Elsie and I enjoyed sharing time with Allen at our picnics over the past summers. I will post further thoughts later. I am still at a loss for words. Was that a great time or what? We met up in Wolfville at the Muir Murray Estate Winery and enjoyed a Winery Tour along with some wine tasting. Jean was predeceased by her husband Arthur, a past president of our Clan Ramsey Association of Nova Scotia. Elsie and I enjoyed meeting many friendly positive people at the Antigonish Highland Games 2011. Prior to arriving weather forcasters called for a scattered shower or two throughout the day mixed with a few clouds and SUNSHINE. Needless to say the sunshine missed its target and we got to enjoy a full day of robust rain of varying intensities. We met many individuals ducking in under the clan tent seeking shelter and connections with Fellow Scottish Kin! Our hats go off the the games organizers and many volunteers. Competitions moved forward in trying conditions, clan members representing their kin and greeting visitors met many hearty Scots undaunted by a little rain. Read More »
