Q. When do the contests take place?A. The HUMOROUS speech contest begins, at the club level, in the Fall. The Division winner, District 31 has 6 divisions, competes at the district FALL conference. The contestants do not advance to Regional or International competition.
The INTERNATIONAL speech contest begins, at the club level, in the Spring. The Division winner, District 31 has 6 divisions, competes at the district SPRING conference. The winner of the district advances to the Regional competition, Region VII conference. The Region VII winner represents District 31 at the International competition.
Check the district calendar for exact dates. Each club sets their own date for the club contest but must have the contest completed by a specified date set by the district.
