Q. Why do we have a new website?

A. (written by 2006-2007 LGM Bo Bennett)

I served as webmaster for the district since 2004.  Since that time, we have implemented some great technology into our website.  But with this technology comes the need for maintenance.  As much as I would like, I cannot always devote my full attention to the district so I have implemented a website that gives users and the district team control over the content.  This is done through iGrOOps.  Now, we as a district can be assured content is fresh and not dependent on the schedule of one person.

In addition, the Internet is changing and we should change with it.  Gone are the days of static content and websites where people just visit to get information.  Websites are (should be) interactive where people can participate and communicate.  Content is no longer just text, it includes audio and video as well.  Our new website incorporates these technologies.

I know many people don't care for change.  I assure you,  these changes are well worth it.
