So VIPR has not moved it just keeps sitting there, boy the market has been crazy, but I am still trying to trade I don't have that much to work with but I am doing ok, but it is going very slow for me I have to wait for the money to clear each time, but I would like to know what others are doing during this time and how they are doing! so drop a line!

Hi Peter:

I also own a *%#@load of VIPR, but I bought on pure speculation. At this point it will be a wait and see what happens in the market. At times like this people shed the junk out of their portfolios, I find it's a great opportunity to bottom fish, especially if your sitting on some cash.

I trade the Forex market, so cash is always on hand for me, but I think I will start fishing the market now and load up on some of these deep discounted stocks...especially the ones Nick is recommending, which makes it easy, and saves me time doing the research...Jim

Bid and Ask Price

Wednesday, November 5th @ 9:24 AMpost viewed 117 times

I am newer to this than most, but I can't seem to find any data on the bid, ask and going price I can pull up a screen I use scottrade and it will show me the Bid, Ask, and going price for that stock, my question is I have always looked at this as being people are trying to buy at the Bid price and people are trying to sell at the Ask price, ? I'm I wrong and is the difference called something?

The reason I ask I was thinking if I understood that it would be easyer for me when it's time to get ride of ob stocks

Well I'm going to get in on some of that VIPR action but not as much as I would like I still have shares tide up in UKMA I have been having troble getting ride of those shares, but tomorrow is another day!

I did not do so well in the last two trades ELRA and UKMA I learned some good stuff "that pink sheets and bulletin boards the stocks move slower less volume and sometimes you can have trouble offloading them when you what too.

But i will keep trying!

Yes Pete,

You have to be careful w/ the off the board stocks, if you are buying one, it most likely has been brought to your attention. If it has been brought to your attention, it is usually a good buy as long as you dump them once they start dropping. The reason for this - many of these are being manipulated and will usually have a big jump; until the officers of the co. dump their shares. It is like a boiler room effect as they pay those free stock pick newsletters to publish them. Alot of the ones I post, I state they are from a third party (I get 4-10 alerts/day from these people) - 95% dont pan out. They are very risky, but the ones that I do post, I look into enough to feel like a big gain may be in the future. ONLY BUY ob STOCK WITH $$$ THAT YOU DONT MIND LOSING!
