Sensory Strategies to Improve Children's Learning and Behavior - Ms. Kranowitz and Ms. Aquilla
all day event
posted by WyattsMom

Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to see this dynamic combination of Ms. Kranowitz and Ms. Aquilla together. Get new ideas for activities at home, work, and therapy. Group rates start at three people!

Would you like a free book from Carol Kranowitz?  What do you know about Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD)?  What should you know about SPD?  With an increase of awareness and diagnoses of autism and other childhood developmental disorders you will begin to see a corresponding increase in the population you serve.  SPD is identified in at least 40% of children diagnosed with developmental disorders such as autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, Angelman syndrome, and many others.  What you need to know is what you should know to serve this population of families.

On November 14, 2008 in Tacoma, WA, Sensory Resources will be hosting our fall workshop Sensory Strategies to Improve Children's Learning and Behavior. The workshop features the award winning author of The Out of Sync Child, Carol Stock Kranowitz.  She will bring her famous bag of activities for parents, educators, occupational therapists, allied health professionals and physicians.

Also presenting will be Paula Aquilla, OT and co-author of the award winning Building Bridges through Sensory Integration.

Registration and information is available in many ways.  Sensory Resource’s web site at

www.SensoryResources.com, download the brochure now http://www.sensoryresources.com/brochures/brochure_1078.pdf or, call our toll free phone number 1-888-357-5867.

Continuing education units are available for many professions such as education, mental health, AOTA, ASHA, and many other organizations.  Please contact our office if you have questions about your profession receiving continuing education units.

As for receiving the free book, all you need to do is register by October 15, and you will receive a complimentary copy of Ms. Kranowitz’s award winning book The Goodenoughs Get in Sync.
