The amusement of steel sculpted...(2001)

poem by Peter Menkin

Red, white, blue sculpture in squares
of metal; tall, laughter say friend.
Lightness of being, there is freedom
in this elegant 9 feet, high, waiting
with hello. Love partakes its shape
exudes, and empty spaces speak smiles.
