My sheep shall hear my Voice

Poem by Peter Menkin, 2007

 

One listens for Christ,
those who know him hear
His voice.

Heed a call and ask
Many things, including
Forgiveness. Ask
Again, with question
And desire: Forgiveness.

Christ is in the call, the desire
Which many know of Him.
Of themselves, too. One burns.

Is this enough? This journey,
A relationship, and a reverence
It is a burning flame.
