A simple history of Iran over the last 60 years. This is the background that most Westerners forget when they wonder why Iran doesn't consider the US its friend.

This is a story that has somehow been missed completely by most of the world's media. On June 30th, the Greek-flagged vessel, "Spirit of Humanity" was hi-jacked by the Israeli Navy while in International waters. The crew, including former U.S. Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney and Noble laureate Mairead Maguire, were imprisoned. The ship was carrying three tonnes of medical supplies, cement, olive trees and children's toys, and was attempting to bring relief to the people of Gaza. Subsequent to this report, 19 of the 21 people imprisoned have been deported. All aid supplies were confiscated. The good news is that a new convoy is being launched - headed up by Vietnam War Veteran, Kevin Kovic and Scottish MP, George Galloway.

"Julian Assange should be congratulated for carrying out the responsibilities of a citizen in democratic societies, where the population should be aware of what their selected representatives are doing and planning.

The Wikileaks revelations have surely advanced such awareness and understanding, and are a valuable contribution for that reason".

I must admit that I love this guy. I appreciate that there are probably an equal number of damning comments that could be made about other world leaders and other US Presidential candidates (well ... maybe not quite as many) but Olberman is so unashamedly direct and incisive ... it's a sort of catharsis to hear him say it on our behalf. Anyway, feel free to disagree with my assessment and to post other videos, critical of Bush's opponents, but this guy definately deserves to be heard.
