Sex in the Bible! (the Song of Songs)
"My beloved speaks and says to me: "Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away; for now the winter is past, the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth; the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land. The fig tree puts forth its figs, and the vines are in blossom; they give forth fragrance. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away." (Song of Solomon 2:10-13) When it comes to the church's attitude towards sex words such as 'uncomforrtable', 'disapproving' and 'conservative' come to mind. And yet there is an entire book in the Bible devoted to celebrating the joys of sexual love, where the tone is anything but disapproving and uncomfortable! Not surprisingly, many in the church have wondered what to do with the 'Song of Songs'. Click the play button and form your own conclusion.
