It never ceases to amaze me that so many of Christ's followers are against alcohol consumption when Jesus Himself clearly drank a lot, and even gained a reputation as a drunkard!

And the New Testament itself leaves us with little doubt as to Jesus' association with wine and the party-scene, for in His very first recorded miracle he manufactures an enormous amount of alcohol at a party that is running dry!

It's all recorded in John chapter 2 and is a worthy topic for a sermon!
