If there are members who wish to be a part of the affiliate program and don't have and/or don't want to have a PayPal account, can they be paid manually?

If so, is this a difficult task?

Would it be better to make it a requirement to have a PayPal account?

Cheers
Stephen

I would not want to get involve with a manual payment unless the affiliate is bringing in some big business. I would suggest setting a payout min for manual payments... say $100, or whatever is worth it to you to go through the expense.

Hi Bo

Believe me, I have no desire to go through a manual payment process. What I'm trying to get my head around is how the mass-pay system works before I create my system and start aquiring customers.

If I have 100 customers and 95 of them have a PayPal account, I'd like to know what happens with the other 5 customers payments?

Are there options to set minimum payouts etc?

As I haven't seen the module I'm not clear on how it will work. Does it become self-explanatory once I begin to use it?

Thank you

you mentioned "customers" i think you meant "affiliates". You set minimums in you terms and conditions. Dealing with non-paypal affiliates is a manual process, and only worth it if they bring in good revenue.

Hi Stephen,

Just thought I'd contribute another thought to this discussion, in case you or others reading this thread are not aware.

Even if your affiliates do not have a PayPal account, you can still attempt to pay them commissions through PayPal, as long as they have an email address listed in their profile in the field for "PayPal Email".

When you send the payment to someone who does not have a PayPal account, but has entered an email address in that field, PayPal will send them an email to that address letting them know they have been sent a payment, and they can login to create an account to claim the cash.

Affiliates who don't have a PayPal account yet can simply click the "Your Profile" link in the header, then click the "Update Your Profile" link. At the bottom of that page, there is a field for "PayPal Email". As always, save the changes.

Hi Stephan I hope things are going great with your affiliate program.

I would like to show this in a different angle.

You are the person offer "them" something of value which means they play by your rules.

If they need to get a paypal account in order to get paid they need to get a paypal account.

Otherwise it's simple, they wont become affiliates. I don't think that you would have to many people not wanting to use paypal almost all affiliate programs I have been in have been backed by paypal save the exception of one that is doing checks in the snail mail.

I hope this new fresh angle helps.
