I'd like to understand how to do this as well. If anyone has details on implementing an iFrame with scripts to do a pop-over, or hover-over for newsletter signups, please post here.

I am not an HTML expert (or even knowledgeable) but the program I am trying to use requires changes/additions to the HTML in the header. Is this possible with an igroop?
This is a feature I desperately would like to implement as a lot of research shows that it dramatically increases opt in rate if done correctly. |

You cannot modify the header. We made the decision from the start not to integrate popups -- they are annoying and unprofessional (personal opinion). Does it really dramatically increase sign ups? At what expense? Again, if you can find a way to do this through iframes, then go for it. _________________________________

I think a small pop-up like the one at the link below is easy to close, lets you see most of the rest of the page, and gives people a single point of focus when they first arrive. (I'm not so sure about the slow-loading movie that comes up if you click on it, but that's another story...)

You could probably do it with nearly the same code you use for the page-peel, and I think it grabs attention more directly.
I would only want to use it for non-members or non-newsletter subscribers (a checkbox for each on the Home Page Editor would seem logical). Scott Wright

agreed...there should be an option to implement the pop up when they arrive on the page and when they are leaving the page so that you can offer them extra incentive for signing up before they leave... |
