how do I use embed code in podcasts and video mp3?

I have just copied the embed code from the video. I havent pasted it anywhere because I am not sure how to use it with these applications.

For Video/MP3 Gallery, go to Add Video/MP3. In the field called "OR Code for External Audio/Video", paste in the embedd code. Then fill out the required meta data for the video on the form (Category, Title, Description). Click Add Video/MP3.

For Blog posts, there is a way to do this but it is an unsupported feature. In brief, you need the URL for the actual video, not the embedd code. Copy the URL, click on the film strip icon, and paste the URL of the video in the File/URL field on the General Tab. Click Update.

Ryan -

I used the lower method (the video URL) as if linking to a document, but got an error message that said, "This application not supported." Is that because I'm on a trial version?

Trying to upload and link some instructional videos onto specific pages in the content I'm developing.

Thanks,

Scott

Hi Scott,

Can you please provide a specific example of the page you are working on, the URL you are trying to use to link, and where you are inputting it? This will help me trouble shoot. Thanks!

Here's your fix, Scott.

The hyperlink on the page is incorrect, and is currently going to this invalid URL:

http://www.igroops.com/members/mpcmembers/adminpages/%5B%22src%22://%22http//www.igroops.com/members/mpcmembers/videos/VIEW/00000003/More-Jobs-Online.html%22%5D

The proper hyperlink to use for the video is:

http://www.igroops.com/members/mpcmembers/videos/VIEW/00000003/More-Jobs-Online.html

Also, looks like you are using Camtasia to create your videos? If so, check out:

FYI: If you want a control bar, you'll need to create it in Camtasia.

Hmmm - I'll have to be more careful - I cut and pasted it; wonder how that extra bit of code got in there?

Actually I'm using CAM studio...but I think I can do some of the same things in there (including saving them as SWF files).

Thanks Ryan! I'm getting close to a beta...have about 25 people interested in getting in there, so a few more videos and a bit more content, and I should be off to the races.

Then we'll see how much I've actually done correctly!
