One of my members is having some very strange problems. He cannot see the images in the galleries, only the comments. He said that today, he clicked on the photo of the day in my left nav and saw pictures in the gallery. He clicked on one of the images and the picture blinked for a second and then just disappeared!?!?!?

Then he could just see the comments.

He is on an Acer Laptop running IE...any thoughts or has this happened to anyone else?

P.s. I have noticed myself that when someone adds an image to an old gallery, it all goes a bit funny and the images and comments seem to move about. I click on an image that was there before and end up at a blank page?

There was an issue that allowed users to upload the pics with illegal filenames. We fixed the issue but that would not fix existing images with bad filenames. Ask your member to remove any images that have this problem then reupload.

It seems to me that the problem still exists. I clicked on the Louise Vincent Pic of the week photo (recent image), and again, it blinked for a split second, then the screen was white with no picture. I clicked then on "minimum clicking" and could see 5 pictures in smaller format (thumbnails). I then clicked on "moonlight on the sea" and nothing again.

After that I went to the home page, clicked on "Charlotte and Brian" gallery (new gallery), and again could see the comments but not the picture.

Just so you know, I never use special characters downloading, and have some of my pictures (the tennis ones) on flicker without any problems.

Let me know what's happening, as I would like to use all the features of the galleries and the membership and can't right now.

I only check from time to time if the problem still exists, and because it does have not been active for quite some time now.

He is having problems with recent galleries from other members it seems so it has nothing to do with special characters because I can see the galleries as can all the other members as far as I am aware...

Any ideas?

Can you give some information about your and your members browsers.

Operating system MAC, Windows (version), Linux

IE, Firefox,...etc
Browser versions?
Java script enabled?
Java script version?

I checked Victors images in both the Slidehow and individually and can see them all. All the images have valid names.

The member is using an Acer laptop and Internet Explorer. I can see everything ok too using Firefox and IE8, it is really strange.

He is going to use another computer away from his IP address to see if he has the same problem, that way I can establish exactly where the problem lies...probably his laptop which I explained to him already.

Not sure about Javascript though...

It goes to the comment but no image...this happens a lot for me too on all browsers...

There was a + in the file name. Bo has corrected.
