When I recently made a few edits to our calendar, a few of the edited events mysteriously moved to the previous day. I've double-checked the dates, and they are correct when I input them (set to recur weekly), but they are displaying on the wrong day on the calendar.
(One is showing up on Sundays instead of Mondays, and the other is showing up on Mondays instead of Tuesdays.)
Here is the calendar page:

Also - the calendar seems to default to random months - sometimes October 2010, even though we're already in November, and just now it opened as June 2011. Shouldn't it default to the current month? |

Can you provide us with the entry(ies) you were trying to edit, and how you edited them? E.g., event occurs weekly, started on X date, start time is X, end time is X, event runs through X date. Modified the series, or an individual occurence, in this way_____.
We can then input it on another site's calendar (so as not to mess w/ your calendar), and try to duplicate. I don't see any events currently showing on a Sunday, so I'm guessing you fixed that.
In terms of the calendar "defaulting" to different months, I know that you have at least one series of weekly events that runs through June 2011, so there's probably a connection there. I haven't noticed when I click through the link to the Calendar (using the Month view), that it goes to any month other than the current month. But when having just entered or modified and event or series, it might save and return me to another month (usually the starting month, I believe). I'll keep a closer eye out for it on my end. In the meantime, if it happens for you again, try to recall what you had done just before clicking through to the calendar, as well as the last change made to the calendar, and maybe we'll be able to detect a pattern. |

UPDATE - really need a solution to this ASAP please.
This same exact problem happened again a year later - this time it was the day immediately after we set the clocks back for daylight savings. Since it happened at the same time of year two years in a row, I'm guessing that setting the clocks back is somehow causing this bug.
This year it's even more important to us to have the calendar displaying properly, because we show the day's classes on the homepage and people rely on it. For now, we've had to take it off the homepage. But it's a big problem!
Thanks for (hopefully) some fast help with this! :) |
