1. What did I do wrong with the public profile?

but its not showing when click on the link at the Menu Bar: The Magicians
2. When I click on the update your rofile ill be brought on the 2nd step edit profile profile page but there is no option about the show public, profile, name others to see.

You are very close-- just missing a period at the end of the URL:
http://www.magiciansfoundation.com/members/magician+memberspublic+THE%20MAGICIANS+BDR.
The reason you don't see the option to allow your profile to be public is because your admin profile on your "magician" site is set to the L2 membership level-- and on that site, your L2 level is set to a "business" type of membership. Anyone who is set to a "business" membership level will already have their profile set for public display-- that's the nature of the business level.
