Q. What is the difference between "member registration" and registering for an iGrOOp?A. There are actually three "registrations" through iGrOOps.
Member registration is needed as a first step to joining any groop or creating a new groop. Member registration is free and takes only a moment. Once you are registered as a member of iGrOOps (as in the website), you can
- join groops
- create your own iGrOOp
- visit any groop with "visitor" access rights
Your member registration creates a profile for you that can be used for all the groops you choose to join. This eliminates the need for redundant data (having to change your info in multiple places) and simplifies the joining of groops.
Joining a groop (or registering for) can be done after your member registration. Each groop has it own fees for membership (some may be sponsored groops and thus free to join). Some groups may have additional membership requirements (e.g., membership in a particular offline group) and additonal terms and conditions that must be agreed to before joining.
Then there is creation, or registration, of an iGrOOp. This is for those who want to start their own iGrOOp.
