Frequently Asked Questions » Start Your iGrOOp!
Q. What will my URL be?

A. When you create your iGrOOp, you are asked to come up with a folder name.  This folder name will make up your URL.  For example, if you choose "mygroop" as your folder name, you and your members will be able to access your groop by

http://www.igroops.com/igroops/mygroop

OR

http://mygroop.igroops.com

NOTE: the latter URL is a forwarding URL only and cannot be used to call other URLs, applications, or documents within your iGrOOp.

Free & Pro iGrOOps: You can also use a custom domain name if you choose and forward that domain name to the first URL above.  Again, this acts as a forwarder only. If you choose domain *masking* which shows only your domain in the URL rather than the actual URL, it messes up the cookies and scripts used by iGrOOps.  Make sure to use domain *forwarding* instead.  This way, members can bookmark pages in your site correctly, see that the communication system is secure (https) and most of all, be showed as logged in.

Pro iGrOOps: You can use your own custom domain name that will stick in the URL and used in place if igroops.com.
