Q. Can I change my nickname (username)?

A. Yes and No.

No, you cannot actually "change" your nickname.  Your nickname is a permanent part of your profile and is keyed to every single post, comment, statistic, and piece of data of yours within your group(s).

Yes, you can delete your current profile, and register a new one with your new nickname.  If you do this, you need to make arrangements with the owner of the group(s) you are a part of to let you back in under the new nickname.  If you paid for membership, this can be a little messy.

If you have existing posts/content, all content WILL REMAIN under the existing nickname when you delete that nickname profile.  So you will no longer have editing access (as a non-admin) to that content.  Your choices are to repost under your new nickname, or just leave the content as is.

Group Admins: if you change your nickname, you need to inform iGrOOps of the change so we can associate your new nickname as the administrator of your group.  Be sure to register your new nickname first by simply joining your group as a regular member.
