Q. How can I add custom forms to my admin webpages?

A. There are many free services that allow you to create forms.  We suggest the free service http://www.jotform.com .  Using their service, you can then use the iGrOOps iFrame option to include the form within your iGrOOp.  All information submitted through these forms will be sent to the e-mail address you specifiy in the form.

STEP BY STEP:

1) Go to http://www.jotform.com and login or register a new account.

2) Once logged in, click "New Form" and follow the online wizard instructions to create your form.

3) Once your form is complete, click on the share button.

4) click on the copy icon to copy your permalink

5) now return to your iGrOOps custom admin page edit screen, and expand the "iFrame Options" section

6) paste the permalink code in the iFrame URL section and set the dimentions of the form.  You usually want to choose the full width of the page (590 for narrow sites and 680 for iGrOOps using the wide layout) and paly around with the length until it displays the whole form correctly

7) Final step: control the placement of your form within your webpage by using the anchor icon in the HTML editor.  Remember, your webpage can have other information besides just the form.  Start by placing your cursor in the HTML area where you want your form to go.  Then click the anchor icon

when the window pops up, enter the word "IFRAME" and click insert

The icon representing your form will then appear in your HTML area.  Once you save the form and view it, you will see your form!

Great - I was always looking for a little helper like this, even for other projects.

IFRAME function by the way is a very nice feature to integrate content you anyway already have. I e.g. intergrated a complete TYPO3 Installation about ecological architecture at http://www.envidoo.com/members/envidoo/adminpages/ecologic_architecture, a html-page about energy from heat, waste and water treatment at http://www.envidoo.com/members/envidoo/adminpages/iep_concept and a openSource-twitter at http://www.envidoo.com/members/envidoo/adminpages/joingreentweets in my grouppage  http://www.envidoo.com
