Jazz Improvisation Tip:

Hello Jazz Web Shed Family:

No matter how advanced you become in your musicianship, don't abandon the gospel/blues roots. The sounds associated with the black church can't be generalized as a "blues scale" although pentatonic scales do somewhat represent the tonalities of the black experience. It's okay to bend a note or use vibrato when expressing yourself. It's all sound & rhythm.

Peace & Keep Swinging!
