Hello Jazz Web Shed Friends,

Here's an interview of a great friend & wonderful musician, Jason Marshall expressing his view on jazz musicians practicing patterns.

While he feels it's an important part of one's development as a musician, he stresses more importance on internalizing the language/vocabulary of jazz music by learning the solos of the great masters.

Hope you enjoy & gain something from this conversation

Peace & Keep Swinging,

Andre Hayward
