I retired from law enforcement after more than 22 years in the United States. My last assignment was as an investigative Sergeant in the Internal Affairs Unit for the Connecticut State Police Department. Prior to this position I spent the majority of my career in the Major Crime Squad as both a detective and as a supervisor where I have been involved in the investigation and supervision of homicides, robberies, sexual assaults, kidnappings, arson, significant larcenies and white collar crime, police-involved shootings, organized crime investigations, etc. I am the president of LIES Linguistic Interrogation Expert Services, a specialized training company, and conduct training seminars for law enforcement agencies, insurance companies and the corporate investigation community as well. I am a POST certified instructor and I'm passionate about interview and interrogation, statement analysis, detecting deception and in general, human behavior and communication effectiveness. |
