Jana Barnhill, our 2008-2009 Toastmasters International President, holds a BA in Psychology. Specializing in personalities, she is certified in both Personality Plus and Myers-Briggs administration, interpretation and training. She also conducts seminars on team building, communication skills, leadership development, time and stress management and customer service. Jana works as a speech writer and coach for other professionals, including the National President of the American Society of Interior Design. She has placed second and third in Toastmasters International's World Championship of Public Speaking and has also received Toastmasters International's Accredited Speaker designation, an honor held by only six women in the world. Dr. Debra Johanyak grew up in Akron, Ohio. Her graduate studies included a year in Shiraz, Iran, where she held a teaching assistantship. Debra began her professional career as an English instructor, and later, as an assistant professor, at Kent State University before coming to The University of Akron Wayne College, where she currently is Professor of English.
