New Strain of MRSA Spreads Among 'Gay' Men

A new, highly drug-resistant strain of MRSA, or methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, has moved outside hospitals and is now spreading among gay men, researchers reported Monday.
Some of the hardest hit areas are San Francisco, Boston, New York and Los Angeles, according to a San Francisco Chronicle report.

In regards to San Francisco, the study found sexually active gay men are 13 times more likely to be infected than the general population.
"We probably had it here first, and now it is spreading elsewhere," said Binh An Diep, a researcher at San Francisco General Hospital and lead author of the report, in a news release. "This is a national problem, and San Francisco is at the epicenter."
Although researchers have stopped short of declaring this form of staph a sexually transmitted disease, the infections are found where skin-to-skin contact occurs during sexual activity.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), MRSA is responsible for about 19,000 deaths annually in America — most of which occur in the hospital.

Many homosexuals and pro-"gay" organizations are trying to "downplay" the findings of the report. Don't be fooled. Sin has its consequences and this new strain of MRSA IS something we ALL need to be concerned about.
While the HIV virus is contracted via the spread/exchange of bodily fluids, MRSA is in a league of its own. Skin to skin contact is all one needs to be infected. Homosexuals are being infected "at the point of skin to skin contact" according to the reports.
The general population at large is at risk.
Sorry... the "answer" is not to throw homosexuals "more condoms." The answer is for these "men" who are hell-bent on having anonymous sex and/or multiple partners -- TO STOP.
America has been "dumbed-down" for far too many years by professional paid homosexual advocates -- and even governmental agencies who state they are "looking out for the best for us."
Many are suggesting it's now time that something is done about those individuals (hetero and homo) who are knowingly putting others, this nation and the greater population of our citizens -- at serious risk.
As controversial as this is, it will be very interesting to see what "ideas" / "solutions" (if any) emerge. "Gay" media is already crying "victim", while slamming Evangelicals - saying they are crying wolf. Will keep you all posted. ~ Stephen Bennett

A Blessed and Healthy 2008 to You All!

Lord bless you and a Happy New Year!
2008. Isn't it funny how when we were children, we always wanted to be older? Yet when we get older, it seems the years "fly by" way too fast?
This month of January 2008, I will be 16 years saved, sealed and delivered from my homosexual past -- a lifestyle that once bound me.
In July, our "babies" both turn 10 and 8 (YIKES!!)
Irene and I will also celebrate the big 15 -- 15 years of glorious, wonderful marriage.
As a family, we have been called into ministry to proclaim the truth about freedom from homosexuality, minister to those seeking help (strugglers and their families), and confront the militant, deceptive propaganda of homosexual activists. Some of these individuals are so far deceived, it is tragic.
They spend their lives trying to make a lie into a truth; the fake, real; and normalize what the Lord calls "sin."
In God's book, their "ways are fruitless." The "pit" they dig for others, the Lord says "they will fall into themselves."
Yet our goal at SBM is to be wise as serpents, yet gentle as doves. We WANT to see these lost and deceived homosexuals come to Christ. We want to see those playing "gay church" to realize they serve a FALSE God -- not the God of the Bible.
We are called to be "salt and light" -- and sometimes, salt "stings" - yet it has healing qualities.
16 years ago, it took the Truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ to bring me to my knees in repentance. Only until I agreed with God that HE was right and I was wrong, only then could my new life begin.
Praise God -- it DID.
In 2008, we have many plans, ideas and goals to fulfill the call of the ministry we were brought into. Yet we need to make sure these plans are of GOD -- and not of ourselves.
One thing I do know -- the Lord has called all of us at SBM to evangelism - proclaiming the life changing, soul saving gospel of Jesus Christ. You can be sure, that is a GIVEN.
Regarding all of our other "plans" -- if they are of the Lord, NO ONE will be able to stop them. We desire to be in the center of the Lord's will and do what HE wants us to do.
Please pray for all of the leadership, staff, Board of Directors and volunteers at SBM -- that God's will WILL be done through us ALL in 2008!
