Title: Diamond Press Break

About: Is your team having trouble getting out of their own end, when facing a press? Well, this press break should change that.

PressBreak1.jpg

5 Starts with the ball, on the end line. 1 Will cut towards the corner, about the depth of the bottom of the circle in the key. 4 will head towards the top of the 3 point area, just a few feet outside. 2 will head towards the center line, but stay on the side. 3 will hold position, in case 5 runs the baseline. (As an option, 1 and 4 can stack up at the top of the key and 4 can set a screen to free up one)

PressBreak2.jpg5 inbounds the ball to 1, then steps onto the court, under the basket.

PressBreak4.jpg

1 takes 2 hard dribbles to the sideline(waiting for the trap), then keeping the dribble, backs up.

1 can now either reverse the ball to 5, pass to 4 in the middle or pass up the sideline to 2.

PressBreak9.jpg

Assuming 1 reversed to 5, 5 now has the option of passing to 1, 4 or 3, who are set up in the shape of a diamond.

Again, we will assume 5 passed to 4, 4 now has the option to either dribble up court, pass to 2 or hit a streaking 3 up the sideline.
